International Women鈥檚 Day might be taking place on 8 March, but there鈥檚 a variety of events and activities taking place in the run-up to the day including lectures, workshops and the arrival on campus of a full-sized Lego Suffragette! The latest line-up is below.听

• 14 February 鈥� [IN PERSON] Don't miss the arrival in the Student Centre of Hope the Lego Suffragette, who will be with us from 14 February鈥�7 March. We鈥檒l also be lighting up the Portico in Green, White and Violet to celebrate Hope鈥檚 arrival, and using the #StandWithHope hashtag across social media. 听听
• 17 February 鈥� [ONLINE] Academics from across 果冻影院 will be discussing the unfinished business of securing full membership and belonging of society and its institutions for all women at
• 24 February 鈥� [ONLINE] This Women in Enterprise Network event teaches you about why having a personal brand matters, and how to start creating your own.听

• 4 March 鈥� [ONLINE] Hear from the team behind the City of Women London interactive map and find out how the East London Federation of Suffragettes helped shape the city's past and present.听
• 8 March 鈥� [ONLINE]听Hosted by 果冻影院's Institute of Cardiovascular Science, Vivienne Parry OBE will be facilitating a virtual panel discussion with experts in the Cardiovascular field to discuss heart diseases in women.
• 8 March [ONLINE] , hosted by the Women In Leadership Alumni Network, Astrea and Athena SWAN.听The discussion will touch on some of the challenges and opportunities facing women in Higher Education as well as explore the top tips the panellist have for career progression.
• 8 March [IN PERSON] for International Women鈥檚 Day 鈥� "But What Was She Wearing?鈥�
• 16 March [ONLINE] A with 果冻影院 and Here We Flo,听exploring the environmental impact of conventional period care and the benefits of switching to organic and natural products.

• 24 March 鈥� [ONLINE] Join a free workshop by the Women in Enterprise Network to learn how to get your business featured in print, on radio and on TV.

April

• 26 April (rescheduled from 1 March)听鈥� [ONLINE] Join this Lunch Hour Lecture to explore how disruption caused by the pandemic has affected women more adversely than men, and the long-term implications for progress towards gender equality. 听听
