Stand with Hope

From 14 February to 7 March 2022, the 果冻影院 Student Centre hosted the House of Commons鈥� 鈥楬ope the Lego Suffragette鈥�, a life-size Lego figure built to help tell the story of inequalities and women鈥檚 suffrage.

The 5ft6 (1.7m) model听is built from 32,327 lego听bricks. Standing prominently in the 果冻影院听Student Centre Foyer, she is the inspiration behind 果冻影院's 'Stand with Hope' campaign听in the run up to International Women鈥檚 Day 2022.

听

Hope鈥檚 display at 果冻影院 aimed听to听inspire听reflection on the history of the suffrage movement, as well as听creating听a space for challenging conversations, hearing untold stories, and for 果冻影院 academics to share their research on gender inequalities.

We encourage 果冻影院鈥檚 communities to听share their stories and views on听suffrage, inequalities and what needs to change to create a truly equal society today.
