Develop the skills to translate your theoretical or research-based learning into practical experience.Ìý¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Innovation and EnterpriseÌýoffers a wide range of interactive and immersive experiences to enrich your time at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and prepare you for the world beyond.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº also offers an entrepreneurship training programme for doctoral students (SPERO) from any discipline with little or no business experience.ÌýThis free programme for doctoral students will help you develop your entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and mindset. Whether your future career lies in academia, working for a large-scale organisation or running your own business, the SPERO programme can help prepare you.ÌýFind out more about SPERO or watch a video showcase of the programme.

Global Citizenship Programme

TheÌý¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Global Citizenship ProgrammeÌýis aimed at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº undergraduates and taught postgraduates offering them the chance to put their studies in a global context, connect with students across ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and see the world differently. The Programme runs for two weeks after summer exams have finished, providing a range of opportunities to help students boost their studies, develop hands-on skills and make an impact on the world.Ìý Participation is free and is not assessed. Places are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Laidlaw Scholarship Programme (first year undergraduates)

The Laidlaw Scholarship ProgrammeÌýaims to create the leaders of the future through a mix of training and intensive summer research periods. There are 25 fully-funded scholarships available for first year undergraduates. The programme runs over three years and it gives you the opportunity to be part of a high performing group from across ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. You will be involved in research with a global impact while developing leadership skills for your future career.

Student Quality Reviewer

As aÌýÌýyou act as a consultant, teaming up with ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff to take an in-depth 'behind the scenes' look at different areas of academic practice. You'll utilise your analytical skills to give detailed feedback from a student perspective on ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's work. You can choose to investigate quality, teaching practice, new programmes or the student experience. You'll be trained and supported to make sure you have the right skills to get stuck in.

The Student Experience Panel

Use your personal perspectives, creativity and expertise to shape the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº experience. As a member of theÌýStudent Experience PanelÌýyou will have the opportunity to have your say on a range of issues and help make ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's services even better. As part of our panel, we will ask you to collaborate with us through focus groups, quick surveys, feedback on images or website user testing. These activities are usually one-off feedback sessions and are a great opportunity to meet with students who are studying other disciplines. As an incentive for shaping ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, you will receive a free lunch or a voucher.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's goal is to put students' feedback, insights and contributions at the heart of our decision-making.ÌýWe value students' feedback and work with students as partners in the process of shaping education at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. In recent years, as a direct result of student feedback, we've extended library opening hours, opened new study spaces and scrapped graduation ticket fees for students.
