¹û¶³Ó°Ôº

PatcharaviralÌýis interested in transnational history in the twentieth century, especially the Cold War period. Her Master's thesis investigated the nature of the independent actors in the Cold War by exploring the Indian experience as a champion of non-aligned policy which benefited from cooperation with both the West and the East. Her research touches upon a broad range of topics including decolonisation, ideology and self-imagery of the state, modernity, foreign policy, the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), development and foreign aid.

Since October 2019 Patcharaviral has acted as a Postgraduate Research Representative in the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº History Department.Ìý

Patcharaviral has been invited to give lectures on various aspects of modern Indian history at Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University, Bangkok. Her research is fully funded by the Royal Thai Government Scholarship Program for the Humanities and the Social Sciences.
