The Lived Skyscraper: Branding, Viewing and Experiencing Contemporary Vertical London

Sidra鈥檚 doctoral research responds to the dramatic upward growth in London鈥檚 built environment over the last two decades and to the transformation of the London skyline. Sidra is investigating the contemporary London skyscraper and its relationship to branding, the urban 鈥渆xperience economy鈥� and everyday life. Sidra鈥檚 research engages with key London skyscrapers through her concept of the 鈥榣ived skyscraper鈥� and draws on ethnographic and visual research methods.

Biography

Sidra is an urban geographer researching urban verticality and skyscrapers. Sidra is currently a doctoral researcher within the Department of Geography at 果冻影院.
