Here are some actions you can take:

• talk to at least 10 colleagues and remind them to vote
• contact your branch officeÌýand offer to help us get the vote out
• show your support byÌý
• talk to non-union colleagues and students about why you are taking action.

The ballots close on Friday 14 January 2022 at 12 noon. Please post your vote as soon as possible to avoid any potential problems with the Christmas post. The last ‘safe date’ to post your ballot paper will be Tuesday 12 January 2022.

In our first ballot, which took place over three weeks in October-November, 1,082 members (78%) voted YES for strike action and 1,250 (90%) voted YES for action short of a strike. However, we missed the 50% turnout threshold by 17 votes (49.4%) - unlike the Four Fights where we beat the threshold narrowly.

If you are not sure whether to vote YES or NO you can return a blank or spoiled ballot paper - this will count to the turnout total and avoid disenfranchising those who do vote.

On Tuesday we will send you a short survey (via Survey Monkey). Please take a moment to respond when you have voted, and we will stop sending reminders!

The replacement ballot paper order form will be available from Monday 13 December, and can be seenÌý.
