28 February 2019

The Responsible Procurement Code (RPC) is an external verification scheme, which comprises of a self-assessment. Through this ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº demonstrated that we manage our environmental, social and economic impacts of our procurement and supply chains. This was followed by a 1 day audit, where external experts viewed evidence and analysed a sample of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's contracts and contract management documents. These elements are scored against bronze to platinum criteria.

The RPC is delivered by the consultancy firm Anthesis. It is aligned to the UK Government’s , a self-assessment tool which many Higher Education and public sector organisations use. The RPC takes organisations up to level 3 on the flexible framework.

Procurement Responsible Cycle Flexible Framework

The RPC scheme provides ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº with recommendations for improvement. With regular audits, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº follows a cycle of continuous improvement - audit, certification, improvement and re-auditing.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº will seek to implement the recommendations from the latest audit while striving to achieve platinum in the near future.
