Help ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº reduce energyÌýand win pricesÌýby pledging by the 23rd December to switch off this Christmas!Ìý

In 2022, 488 pledges resulted in a combined saving of 107 tonnes of carbon – that’s equivalent to planting 1,783 trees!* This saved ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº an impressive £140,023 over the festive period.

It showsÌýsmall changes in our everyday behaviours, like switching off non-essential equipment can lead to a huge impact.

How to get involved

Decide your switch-off actions - Use Sustainable ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s checklists to see what you could switch off. Do you work in an office? Make sure screens are switched off rather than on stand-by before you go on holiday. Staying in halls? Unplug the microwave before you leave.

How to win

Pledge icon

Make your switch-off pledge by December 23rd. The department and the accommodation with the highest proportion of pledges will each win £100 prize money. For accommodation, this will be spent on a community-wide event.
