The 17 SDGs, also known as , are the core of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, they provide a framework for the world’s ongoing economic growth, while protecting the environment and addressing societal inequalities. The UN aims to achieve the Goals by 2030.

““We were fortunate to be able to draw on academics from across ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, who contributed their expertise and opinions’ said Simon Knowles ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s Head of Coordination (SDGs). “The result is six fascinating discussions around how the SDGs relate to a diverse range of issues, from the contributions of the arts and humanities to addressing the SDGs, to what should follow the Goals in 2030, when the world is due to have achieved them.“

Over six episodes, the series considers issues including the role of culture and humanities in the SDGs, how the SDGs can be more inclusive, and what will follow the SDGs. Guests from across ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s faculties will bring new perspectives and understanding, while ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students share what the SDGs mean to them.
