I obtained my BA and MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy. I was a student at the Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP) which was founded by the Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌý in 2004 and restricted to 150 young exceptionally talented students who had been selected solely on the basis of merit. In 2017, I worked on my Master’s thesis for 8 months with the Surgical Robot Vision group at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, and the following year started studying towards a PhD under the supervision of the head of the group, Prof. Dan Stoyanov. My research focuses on automation for robotic surgical tasks. I am currently working with the da Vinci System, by Intuitive Surgical, along with the da Vinci Research Kit (dVRK).
