What I do
Hi, I鈥檓 Jolanta. I am the Student Adviser for Political Science and I聽am here for you as a key point of contact during the聽first year of your undergraduate studies.聽I am available to discuss any wellbeing, support, and student experience matters.
Events
Working within Student Support and Wellbeing聽Services, we聽will be hosting a range of events and activities聽during term time聽to support your Social bonding, Skills for life, and Wellbeing at university. Find out a little bit more about your Student Adviser and how she can best support you during your first year at university.
We appreciate starting university can be a nerve-wracking experience, so there will be activities and games to get you all socialising and you can start the term off already knowing a few friendly faces!聽
This event is completely free, and a great way to ease your nerves and meet some new faces before you start your course. We can't wait to see you there!

Who am I?
- About Jolanta
What was your experience of Further/Higher education like?聽
I went to university in Poland.聽It wasn鈥檛 long after聽Communism聽had fallen聽but before Poland聽had聽joined the EU, so politically it was a very exciting time.聽I was聽over the moon聽to be聽offered a place聽at university聽and it felt like聽suddenly聽a world聽of opportunities聽had聽opened up.聽
What do you like most about your work as a Student Adviser?
Helping students gives me a great sense of fulfilment and achievement.
What's a surprising or interesting fact about yourself?
In my free time I love reading fantasy books about wizards, dragons聽and magic :)
