Who am I?

About Alison

Who or what made the biggest positiveÌýeffectÌýon you when you were studying? And how did they support you?

My parents had the biggest impact, particularly my dad he was a great role model and very supportive. He always had a positive outlook and although he gave critical feedback there was plenty of encouragement, especially at sporting events.

What do you like most about your work as a Student Adviser?

It gives me great satisfaction to see how my work as a Student Adviser helps so many students faceÌýchallenging situations by building a relationship with them atÌýthe beginning of their University journey, and making them feel welcome and engaged.

What's a surprising or interesting fact about yourself?

I’m a bit of a fitness fanatic and like to try out new sports (I love a challenge).Ìý I am working my way through Circus School, have learnt the Hoop and Aerial Silks and just have the Trapeze to attempt.Ìý

I also competed in my first National Fitness Games in September at Loughborough University, representing WomensHealth Magazine.Ìý
