¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Origins Fortnight takes place from Monday 17 October - Friday 28 October. It is a launch of Student Voice, Active Bystander workshops and an opportunity to get to know the origins of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. Attend workshops, events and complete online modules to help continue your induction at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº.

Introductory ProgrammeÌý(Origins)
Online Module

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Introductory Programme is designed to help you learn about the university’s past, present, and future, as well as introduce you to some ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº places and people. You’ll be engaging with new ideas and ways of thinking to help prepare you for your studies.

Start by completing the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Origins section, learning about the university's history.

Active Bystander Training Part 1:
Online Module

This module will allow you to familiarise yourself with the definitions of bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct, it walks you through example scenarios that illustrate how these behaviours might occur and provides you with information about support services available both on- and off-campus.

At the end of the online module, take a short quiz that tests your knowledge of the topics discussed in the training. You will needÌýa pass mark of at least 80%Ìýto be able to attend part 2: Live Workshop.

Active Bystander Training Part 2:
Live Workshop

The workshop builds on the knowledge gained in the online module and will teach you the practical skills that will allow safe intervention should you ever witness a situation where someone is being mistreated. These sessions also offer a chance for you to ask questions and discuss bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct with your peers.

You must getÌýa pass mark of at least 80%Ìýin the online module to be able to attend a live workshop.

Nominations for the Students' Union Rep Elections close on Monday 17 October at 12:00. Whether you are a candidate or not, all ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students will have a chance to vote for their representatives between Monday 24 October and Friday 28 October.Ìý
