SSEES Foundation Studentship

Value:听Payment of tuition fees at the Home rate, plus an annual maintenance stipend at the standard UKRI rate (拢20,622听for a full-time student in 23/24, including London Weighting),听for three years.听Overseas applicants are eligible for the scholarship but will need to self fund the听difference between Home and International听tuition fees.听

Applicants must indicate on the 果冻影院 application form that they wish to be considered when applying and send a听sample of written work (up to 10 000 words) to听the Programme Administrator (ssees-research@ucl.ac.uk) with their student number to advise they wish to be considered.听
Deadline:听The deadline to submit a preliminary application is听Monday 15th January 2024听(23:59 GMT)听and the deadline for those听invited to submit a full application will be by听early February at the latest.听

Late applications听cannot be accepted, so please ensure that you allow sufficient time to prepare your application and for your first named supervisor to complete the 鈥楽upervisor statement.鈥� You will only be able to submit your application if your supervisor has completed the 鈥楽upervisor statement鈥� via the online portal.听

Wolfson Scholarships
Deadline:听Friday, 12听January 2024 (SSEES internal deadline)
Candidates do not apply directly for the Wolfson Scholarships, but must be nominated by the department. Candidates should inform the Programme Administrator (ssees-research@ucl.ac.uk) that they would like to be considered for the Wolfson Scholarship.听
Nominations should include the following:
- an indication of the subject discipline most relevant
- the full 果冻影院 PhD application form, excluding written samples and including:
- academic transcripts
- CV (if available)
- academic references in support of the application
- personal statement
- an expanded outline of the research project of no more than 2 pages, which does not need to contain references or a bibliography.
- a sample of written work (up to 10 000 words).
- a letter from the proposed supervisor confirming that they are willing to supervise the specific project outlined.
Value:听Each student starting in听2024/25听will receive a total of 拢105,000, which equates to 拢35,000听per annum.听The funding available covers a stipend, fees and a research allowance.

Quirk PhD Scholarships

Value:听UK/ home rate fees (拢6,035), a maintenance stipend (拢21,181) for 2024/25*
