This conference is convened by the IAS and 果冻影院 SSEES in collaboration with PKU, Beijing, and is designed to go beyond Euro/US-centrism to explore 鈥榓rea鈥� from diverse vantage points and emplaced disciplinary traditions.

The conference will be divided into four sessions:聽

  • Friday am: Area and disciplinary thinking
  • Friday pm: Imaginaries of place and space
  • Saturday am: Movements and flows
  • Saturday pm: Thinking are differently
