Graduating undergraduate Sculpture student Lauren Godfrey has been selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries. The exhibition is visiting Liverpool for the Liverpool Biennial in September and the ICA, London in November 2012. See .

The winner of the 2012 Catlin Art Prize is Julia Vogl, a 2011 graduate of the 果冻影院 Slade School of Fine Art. She is the sixth winner of the annual Catlin Art Prize, a competition showcasing the work of recent graduates of UK art schools. The award was in respect of her 鈥榮ocial sculpture鈥� titled 鈥楲et's Hang Out鈥�. The work invites visitors to create a communal area by selecting and affixing coloured carpet titles that colour-correspond with Julia's suggestions of various pastimes (such as 鈥榗all Mum鈥�, 鈥榯weet鈥�, etc.). The work will evolve throughout the duration of the Catlin Art Prize exhibition while encouraging visitors to interact 鈥� and hang out. See .

Jo Volley PI with Onya McCausland as Research Assistant have been awarded a 果冻影院 Small Research Grant to work in collaboration with Dr Ruth Siddall, Earth Sciences 果冻影院 and Dr Spike Bucklow , Senior Research Scientist, Cambridge University and author of The Alchemy of Paint. The research proposes to establish a unique physical connection between landscape, pigment and painting.

Recently retired lecturer Tim Head has been nominated for the prestigious Charles Wollaston Award for 鈥楾he Most Distinguished Work鈥� in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The winner will be announced on The Culture Show, BBC2, on 15 June. See for further details about the Summer Exhibition.

Teo Ormond Skeaping has been selected as the winner from Slade of the 2012 Red Mansion Art Prize.

Jayne Parker is being celebrated in particular with a unique room and screening of "Trilogy: Kettle's Yard".
