Call for mentee applications for ACCELERATE Innovation: Mentoring for Medical Innovation.

Calling all 果冻影院 early career researchers (final year PhD to early PI) interested in medical innovation and translational research!
Would you like听to听have support with听navigating the challenges of medical innovation听and translational research?听听
Would you like to be mentored by a senior innovation leader in the field?听听
Our new mentorship programme will provide a unique opportunity听to听be supported by听one-on-one mentoring with听leading听medical innovators from听CASMI听- The听Collaboration for the Advancement of Sustainable Medical Innovation. Expert training听and resources听will be provided throughout the scheme听to get the听most out of the experience for both mentees and mentors.听听
The scheme is a collaboration听between听ACCELERATE Translational Research Training Programme听补苍诲听颁础厂惭滨.听
When:听November 2020 鈥� June听2021听(see below for details outlining听the听commitment for mentees).听
Where:听Online 鈥� further details will be provided to听shortlisted听applicants.听
Eligibility:听Researchers at 果冻影院 who are involved in,听or are positioning themselves to get involved in,听translational research.听We听especially encourage听applications from early career researchers (final year听PhD to early PI).听
Apply:听Applications close on听28 October 2020听(23:59 GMT). There are limited spots available听and shortlisted applicants will be notified by 6 November.

The commitment for mentees:听
- One-on-one mentoring sessions:听Prepare for and attend 3-6 meetings (remotely) with your mentor听over a defined听6 month听period听(December 2020 鈥� June听2021). Meeting details will be decided by each mentor-mentee pair.听
- Mentoring masterclass:听All mentors and mentees will attend a听2 hour听online masterclass听(dates in November 2020)听on听mentoring听practice with an expert mentoring facilitator to support mentors and mentees to get the most out of the scheme.听This session will set the expectations and rules of the mentor-mentee relationship.听
- Launch Event:听Find your mentor听match through an online, structured speed networking activity听(December 2020). By the end of this session听mentees will have had the opportunity to听meet all mentors and shortlist their top choices. Further details about the matching process will be provided closer to the event听to shortlisted applicants. In addition, the launch event will be an opportunity to network with other mentees on the scheme.听听
Ongoing support for mentors and mentees:听In addition to the online masterclass on mentoring practice at the start of the scheme, additional training, support and resources will be made available throughout the scheme.听
