The Collaborative Social Science Domain鈥檚 Early Career Researcher Network provides support and training to researchers across 果冻影院 who are in the early stages of their career.
果冻影院's Collaborative Social Science Domain (CSSD) fosters collaboration across the various social sciences within 果冻影院, and between the social sciences and the natural and applied sciences, and the humanities across 果冻影院 departments and faculties.听 The听Collaborative Social Science Domain鈥檚 Early Career Researcher Network provides support and training to researchers across 果冻影院 who are in the early stages of their career.听
What do we mean by 鈥楨arly Career Researcher鈥�?
We use the
1) Doctoral students (Post-upgrade)
2) Immediately post-doctorate鈥�(early stage ECR)
3) Transition to independent researcher鈥�(usually up to 6 years from PhD award)
We include those on teaching contracts, who are also undertaking research, within this definition.
Our Network is composed of听two groups:
1)听听听听 听 听Our PhD Coordinating Group produces a quarterly newsletter and organises an event series for doctoral researchers interested in collaborative research
2)听 听 听 听 听Our Early Career Researcher听Coordinating Group听organise听a series of events for ECRs from postdoctoral level to those transitioning to independent career听status.听 The events establish听new connections, reflect on what makes successful collaborations, provide听key skills and showcase听collaborative research. The Group has听a that allows members to connect and share their interests.
