2024 RIC Fellowships

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Research Institute for Collections is inviting applications for the 2024 Fellowships. In addition to the Special Collections Visiting Fellowship and Liberating the Collections Fellowships we have the new Prejudice in Power Fellowship.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº RIC Visiting Fellowship in Special Collections
This Fellowship offers scholars an opportunity to visit ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº to conduct research on a topic centred on the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº holdings of archives, rare books, and records.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº RIC Liberating the Collections Fellowships 

​​​​​These two Fellowships are intended to unearth underrepresented voices in the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº collections of museum objects, artworks, archives, rare books and manuscripts and find new ways of engaging with collection stories and presenting them to wider society.

The successful candidates will spend up to six weeks (or part time equivalent) between April and December 2024 at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº researching the collections. The Visiting Fellows will receive a grant of £4,500 and a work space on the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Bloomsbury campus.

Prejudice in Power Fellowship

We are offering a new Fellowship intended to focus on the legacies of eugenics at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. As a Fellow, you will help us gain perspectives on our collections by examining the legacies of eugenics at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and beyond.

The successful candidate for the Prejudice in Power Fellowship will spend up to 10 weeks (or part time equivalent) between April and December 2024 at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº researching the collections.  The Prejudice in Power Fellow will receive a grant of £7,000 and a work space on the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Bloomsbury campus.
