GMP Facility

The first of its kind at 果冻影院, the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Facility is an academic radiopharmaceutical unit for the production of injectable diagnostic agents for imaging in man. Custom-designed for on-demand production of radiotracers, the GMP Facility is envisaged to greatly increase the potential applications of positron emission tomography (PET), both for diagnostic imaging of patients and as a tool for clinical studies.

The facility was jointly funded by 果冻影院 and the 果冻影院 Hospitals Biomedical Research Centre. The state-of-the-art unit was established in 2016, and licensed by the MHRA in 2017 (Specials鈥� and Investigational Medicinal Products). We specialize in the manufacture of radiotracers with short-lived nuclides as well as bespoke diagnostic agents for cutting-edge imaging techniques, including hyperpolarised magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The facility supports translational experimental medicine studies across 果冻影院, 果冻影院 Hospitals and a number of collaborating institutions in South East England.
