Programme Overview

Our research facility at the Courtauld Building on Cleveland Street,Central London听has state-of-the art-laboratories and is very close to the 果冻影院 main campus. Prion diseases are increasingly seen as the key paradigm for neurodegenerative diseases which involve accumulation of misfolded proteins with 鈥減rion-like鈥 seeding mechanisms.

Our programmes are highly multidisciplinary offering a student the opportunity to learn about prion biology and neurodegeneration through genetics, cell and molecular biology, structural biology, protein biochemistry, therapeutics and clinical research.

This MRC funded PhD programme is designed to provide the highest quality multidisciplinary training for future careers in science. We welcome applications from students from a variety of backgrounds including biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, biomedical science, chemistry, medicine or a related discipline
