We are a team of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students and researchers passionate about understanding and improving the mental health and wellbeing of students, and we need your help.

Last week we launched the first ever ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº-wide survey of student wellbeing and mental health, called ‘SENSE’. The short, confidential online survey asks about the things that make university life unique (finances, living situation, workload), alongside wellbeing and mental health questions.

Now we need as many students as possible to take part. Students can go to to find out more and take part. It only takes 10-15 minutes and answers will be treated in confidence, with only anonymised findings reported. Please do encourage your students to take part. It would also be great if you could add a slide at the end of your lectures with the website and logo – please email SENSEstudy@ucl.ac.uk for more information.

We will use the results of the survey to improve support for students at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and beyond. We are already working with relevant ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº departments and ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Students’ Union to ensure that our findings can positively impact students at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. We will also be publicising our results nationally to help inspire changes to university support services, wellbeing initiatives, and policy.
