Support for current students around Brexit - how can you find out more?

As the Brexit negotiations continue and the terms of the UK’s exit from the EU remain uncertain, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s EU/EEA students can access various sources of advice and support.

Our EU students and staff remain our first priority in these uncertain times. Although the status of EU students seeking to join ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº in the future is unclear at the moment, we want to reassure current students that we’re working hard to compete contingency plans, and are dedicated to supporting you as best we can through the Brexit process.

Some sources of advice, support and information are listed below.

Information and briefing about the EU Settlement Scheme

The Student Immigration and Visas website has information on the UK Government’s new EU Settlement Scheme, which allows EU citizens to continue studying, living and working in the UK post-Brexit.

Meanwhile, anyone concerned about their immigration status, or who has any questions that they’d like to ask about the government’s new EU Settlement Scheme, can come to a . The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Student Immigration Advice Team will guide and support you through the scheme, what it means for you and what you have to do to apply for settled status.

General advice and keeping up to date with developments

You can find general advice in the form of FAQs on the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and Brexit website.

You can also sign up to a weekly Brexit update email, that will be sent on Fridays until 29 March (the date of the UK’s projected exit from the EU). This update contains news about what ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº is doing to support EU students and staff, an update on Brexit news from the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº European Institute, and links to further reading. You canÌýreadÌýthe updates so far to get an idea of what the newsletters look like, and sign up using theÌý.
