In response to the changing culture around smoking and a wider acceptance in the community of the hazards of smoking and the importance of protecting the health of the 果冻影院 community, 果冻影院 is proposing a new smoking policy under the rubric 鈥楽moke-Free 果冻影院鈥�.
To promote the health and wellbeing of its staff, students, contractors and visitors, 果冻影院 currently operates a no smoking policy which bans smoking or being in possession of lit cigarettes, cigars or pipes in any premises occupied or used by 果冻影院 staff, students and visitors, or in 果冻影院 vehicles. This extends to areas immediately outside the entrances or open windows of any such premises. The ban also includes use of e-cigarettes.

This policy has two key components:
- Extending the area in which smoking and use of e-cigarettes is not permitted to the whole of the 果冻影院 estate including all public spaces and outdoor spaces.
- Providing high quality information and support for staff and students at 果冻影院 who smoke to help them quit.
It is planned to implement Smoke-Free 果冻影院 from the start of the next academic year. We are now consulting the 果冻影院 community on the proposal so that it meets our needs and accords with our values.
