Love your library - a whistle stop tour of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's libraries

IoE library Each library has a distinct character - from the more traditional to the ultra-modern, so you can find your ideal spot to study.Bloomsbury

The on Gower Street is within ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's original building and contains the stunning Flaxman Gallery. There are over 590 study spaces and the building offers 24 hour opening.

Across the road on Gower Street is the medical library. Completely refurbished in 2014, the library is now a state-of-the-art hub with over 430 seats and offers 24 hour opening.

The on Malet Place has 5 floors, with over 900 study spaces and the largest PC cluster in ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. If you're a postgraduate student - take a look at the Research Grid on the 4th floor.

The Graduate Hub, opposite the Print Room Café, is also a central space for graduates, with a seminar room, breakout space and kitchenette.

Located on Gordon Square, the is a friendly work space, with over 60 study spaces, huge windows, bright early morning sunshine and loads of plants. Take a look at their .

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's is on Taviton Street, in an award-winning, environmentally-friendly building. The school moved into the building in 2005 after it was officially unveiled by the President of Poland Aleksander KwaÅ›niewski. The library has over 170 study spaces and an outstanding film collection.

A couple of roads over on Upper Woburn Place is the , which has 60 study spaces and bookable space. The Bartlett is one of the most comprehensive libraries specialising in the built environment.

The on Bedford Way has over 370 study spaces, spread over 3 floors, and is the largest education library in Europe.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº also manages study space on the third floor of the South Block of . There are no books here but there are 144 study spaces including space for individual study and group working. The art deco building provided Orwell with inspiration for 1984.

Specialist libraries near Bloomsbury

is a hidden gem on the second floor of 30 Guilford Street. The library had a complete makeover this summer, doubling the number of study spaces and creating versatile desks which can be used for desk study, or with the press of a button can 'pop-up' a computer for use.

The is a really bright, friendly library with 66 study spaces and bookable group study room. The social study areas in the rest of the Chandler House on Wakefield Street are worth checking out too.

The has 30 study seats and the library has made innovative use of space. They have unique .

The is based in Brunswick Square and is the only UK library dedicated to pharmaceutical studies. They have over 60 study spaces. They have also just planted medicinal gardens.

The is just round the corner from Old Street station. They have 20 study spaces and bookable spaces. They are also home to special collections showcasing the history of ophthalmology, including a large collection of watercolour paintings which depict eye conditions.Ìý

is over 2 floors and has over 70 study spaces. The library is on the ground floor of the Eastman Dental Hospital on Gray's Inn Road. Head through the courtyard to the Sussex Wing and the library can be found immediately on the right.

is based in the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital. There are 20 study spaces tucked away. Once in the hospital on Gray's Inn Road make your way to the Outpatients department. Opposite this there is a door leading to stairs which will take you up to the library. Find out about some of the .

North London

s located on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital site in Stanmore. The library is a cosy refuge from the bustle of the city, providing 30 study spaces with views onto trees.

is a short distance from Belsize Park and Hampstead Heath. Based on the ground floor of the hospital, the library has over 80 study spaces and bookable space. It is open late weekday evenings and open on Saturdays.
