The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº redesigned thanks to staff feedback

13 October 2016

In readiness for the new academic year, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Communications and Marketing (CAM) has conducted research with staff to improve the look and feel of The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº - the all-staff newsletter.

The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº The revamped newsletter will arrive in your inboxes in early November.

Over the summer, CAM held focus groups with a ride range of staff from faculties and departments across the university including the Staff Disability Forum to find out how we could make improvements to the channel based on current staff feedback.

Collaboration

The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº was first launched in May 2011 and was redesigned in 2014 after consultation with a range of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff. We wanted to continue that collaborative approach to ensure staff have a say in internal communications at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and could inform the third iteration of the e-newsletter.

The revamp has only been possible because of the input from staff who shared their excellent ideas and suggestions. The final design will incorporate their feedback to produce a visually appealing staff newsletter which is hoped will prove engaging, useful and informative.

The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº is read by more than 6,000 staff per week, and reaches around 50% of our potential staff audience. Past issues of The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº are available to browse and download in an archive hosted on ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Staff News website

If you have an announcement, event, or news item you would like to submit for inclusion in The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº that is relevant to a wide range of staff, please send an email with a brief outline of the item and a hi-res photograph to internalcommunications@ucl.ac.uk

For more information about the items we include, please see The Week@¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Editorial Policy.
