Open meeting to develop 果冻影院 activities in support of migrants and refugees

We would like to invite听all 果冻影院 staff and students to an open meeting to share ideas for activities we might develop to support refugees and others affected by conflict: Monday 29 February, 1-2 pm in Room 113, 26 Bedford Way One aim is to establish a working group of students and staff to develop and coordinate听a range of initiatives across 果冻影院.
We听hope this will enable us听to build on recent action by 果冻影院 staff and students.听This听includes the Refuge in a Moving World research network, a recent motion by IOE's UCU branch in support of scholarships for refugees, and a 果冻影院 Student Union vote in support of action organised by STAR (Student Action for Refugees). In turn,听果冻影院 has recently announced听a new 拢50,000 donation to CARA, the Said Foundation and the Windle Trust and is coordinating wider fundraising efforts in the 果冻影院 community. This has brought 果冻影院 activities closer in line with other universities, and with the Citizens UK call for each university to offer a minimum of 10 scholarships to those affected by conflict and violence.
