¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Press: a month on - a great start

1 July 2015

Since the official launch of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Press in early June, we're delighted to share our opening successes.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº press Open Access downloads have been a huge success and our enhanced digital editions are proving very popular - if you haven't yet seen them yet, please do take a look.

Fantastically, in June alone, there have been 3204 Open Access downloads of our first three titles in no less than 70 countries, positively confirming the demand for Open Access scholarly communication around the globe.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Press would also particularly like to draw attention to the digitally enhanced Open Access editions we have produced for Treasures from ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology: Characters and Collections which feature 3D, video, music, deep zoom and audio, and alternative ways of navigating the content. These are a wonderful example of the possibilities of digital book technology and are made available to anyone, anywhere in the world, completely free. We have had an impressive 4250 page views.

Printed copies can now be bought in the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº shop and at Waterstones Gower Street, and of course through our website. You can also see our books proudly displayed in two windows of Waterstones Gower Street.

We would like to thank all the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff and authors who supported us - we could not have launched without the help and assistance from all over the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº community.
