Both ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute of Education staff receive six closure days each leave year, in addition to their normal holiday allowance.

In 2014-2015 these fall on slightly different days. ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº IOE staff therefore have a closure day on Friday 28 August 2015, which ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº does not.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº IOE will be closed on this day. For those members of staff who have transferred into ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº departments, they can choose to take this as a closure day or to take an alternative day as holiday, with the agreement of their Head of Department.

Staff who are working at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº IOE but on ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº contracts will also be able to take this closure day. From 1 October 2015 the closure days will be the same for ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº IOE: the dates will be published on the relevant websites.
