Working arrangements in the event of adverse weather conditions

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº is making all reasonable efforts to keep teaching, research and its other activities running despite the snow disruption.

Quad snow In these circumstances, staff are expected to make reasonable efforts to attend the workplace as normal.Ìý

Heads of Departments and line managers have the discretion, subject to local arrangements, to approve changes to working arrangements in the event of adverse weather conditions.
If transport cancellations or delays make attending the workplace impracticable, staff should advise their Head of Department or line manager.

Staff should also consult their Head of Department or line manager if they wish to leave work early if conditions are forecast to worsen during the course of the day.

If it becomes necessary to curtail access to buildings, staff and students will be notified to that effect.

Where possible, working from home may be a possibility for some staff but this needs to be agreed by your line manager.
