I am the Communications Manager for . There are various aspects of the role, most of which centre around increasing the public profile and reputation of the faculty. There is a particular focus on reportage and accountability through our various communications channels as well as the wider press and media.

On a day-to-day level, this most frequently translates into taking , research, policy and outreach work conducted by the faculty and presenting and disseminating them in the best way possible.

I have only been at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº for around six months. Prior to this I have worked as a journalist, editor and copywriter.

What working achievement or initiative are you most proud of?

There are a wide variety of interesting research projects and events within the faculty - most days this means I get to read and write about something interesting, socially relevant and with potential real world impact. That said, if forced to choose, I am always happy to be working on topics relating to access and educational outreach.

What is your life like outside ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº?

Relatively simple. I like records, books and whiskey. I like to read, I write articles for a few places about music, books and social policy relating to mental health. I am also politically active and involved with a few campaigning organisations and charities.
