¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's Wi-Fi service (eduroam) to be updated

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's Wi-Fi service, (eduroam) will be updated on Monday 2 July 2012.

ISD After this users will need to re-enter their username and password the next time they connect to the service.Ìý

Information Services Division (ISD) apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but it is necessary to update the certificate that lets eduroam and your PC or mobile device communicate safely.

Eduroam is a free Wi-Fi service, available across the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº campus, which allows staff and students to connect a computer or mobile device to the internet using their ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº username and password.

Instructions for re-connecting:

  • When your PC or device tries to connect to eduroam, you will automatically be prompted for your ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº userid and password. Your ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº userid is provided on the front of your registration slip and must be appended with @ucl.ac.uk (e.g. ucxxzano@ucl.ac.uk). It is NOT your userid@live.ucl.ac.uk.
  • On validating your credentials you will be presented with an alert box requesting you to accept the new certificate. Please ACCEPT as the alert relates to a known change and it is OK to proceed when accepting the new certificate.

If you experience any problems when the certificate is updated, please contact the ISD Service Desk on 020 7679 5000 (Ext: 25000) for further assistance.

Alternatively, please visit the ISD Service Desk, DMS Watson Science Library room G15 on Monday 2nd July from 2pm - 4pm, where an eduroam technician will be available to assist you with any connection problems.
