¹û¶³Ó°Ôº membership of Santander universities: benefits to staff

20 July 2011

On Monday 25 July ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff can find out more about how they might benefit from ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's membership of Santander Universities, a global network of universities supported by Santander.

Print Room Cafe

Mr Abbas Al-Mamouri the manager of our university Santander Branch at 164-167 Tottenham Court Road, will be on-site in the courtyard outside the Print Room Cafe (pictured) from 10am to 2pm. Abbas and his team will be pleased to speak to you. If you are unable to come along then you are most welcome to contact Abbas by email (Abbas.Al-Mamouri@santander.co.uk) or simply pop into the branch.

There is a strong student focus to the generous sponsorship that Santander Universities provides to ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. This includes scholarships to study Masters programmes here, awards recognising outstanding personal achievement, support for entrepreneurship and funding to enable ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students to study abroad. Over and above the financial sponsorship, membership opens up fantastic opportunities for some of our students - a number of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº scholarship holders were recently invited to meet Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton ahead of the British Grand Prix.

The sponsorship supports ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff too. By way of example, a new series of 'Catalyst Awards', funded by Santander Universities, aimed at encouraging the development of new research or teaching partnerships will shortly be launched by my office.

Membership also opens up to ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff a number of financial products designed specifically for university staff. More details are available here:

Information about the schemes that Santander Universities supports at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº is also available from Nigel Percival (n.percival@ucl.ac.uk) in the Office of the Vice-Provost (International).
