果冻影院's Academic & International Vice Provost Professor Michael Worton has responded to an article published in The Guardian newspaper that misrepresented the university's position with regards to giving credit for non-academic skills.
Professor Worton said: "果冻影院 is not in a similar position to the Universities of Leicester and Durham as was implied. We are not looking at giving academic credit for workplace skills in undergraduate degrees, but instead considering听including these skills (as well as leadership of clubs and societies,听volunteering etc) within the HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Record),听which is intended to provide more detailed information about a student's听learning and achievement beyond the traditional degree classification听system.听
果冻影院 degrees are awarded exclusively on academic merit."
