Publication date: Oct 6, 2017 10:20:52 AM 5 October 2017 Have you spotted students sporting a new bag around campus this week? During the 2016-17 academic year, we asked students to submit their designs for a ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº tote bag competition.

Out of the many entries received, Paul Jung (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Medical School) was selected as the winner for his striking design featuring the Portico.

"I wanted to design something simple, yet instantly recognisable as being ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. The obvious choice was the Portico. It's a place that draws not only attention, but also a crowd - it's where I and many others spend time socialising. I think back to when I first sat on the Portico steps during the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº open day and whilst I reflect on how much I've gained since then, I can't help but look forward to my remaining time here."

The new ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº tote bags were given away to hundreds of students at the recent Welcome Fair and proved very popular!

Paul was awarded a £100 Amazon voucher for his prize.
