Aims

Molecular and Cell Biology concerns the biology of organisms at the cellular level. This is underpinned by knowledge of how cells work at the molecular level.

Objectives

Students who complete this stream will understand:

  • the molecular structure of cells and how molecules interact
  • basic and advanced genetics and genome analysis
  • techniques in molecular biology and their applications
  • the cellular and molecular investigation of disease
