This module provides an introduction to the theory, techniques and appreciation of design within the context of town planning and urban design. It involves the development of technical and communication skills, aesthetic appreciation of design and an understanding of design process. Experimenting individually and as a small urban design team, students acquire skills in comparative analysis of townscape and development of an urban design proposal, using a range of creative communication methods and media, both in oral and graphic 2D+3D presentation.
