Description

This module will explore conceptions and understandings of childhood within a diversity of global contexts. Drawing upon critical theories to understand how different international perspectives have informed this sector of education, the purpose of this module is to open critical spaces for developing understandings of international conceptions and assumptions in the field of early childhood education. Module content will engage with international early education philosophies and pedagogical practices through the historical, political, cultural, and sociological contexts of their emergence.Ìý
