Description

This option provides an opportunity to start learning about how the brain generates cognition. You will learn about how we understand what we see, how we produce and understand language, how we make decision and plans, and what happens when things go wrong. You will develop a critical appreciation of contrasting theoretical perspectives and models in cognitive development & learning. You will also evaluate research findings and theoretical models for their potential applications to classroom and related contexts in schools and in other educational settings.

NOTE: This module’s content will be more accessible to students who have attended an introductory psychology module in year 1.
