As part of the conference, the IoMH will be showcasing research presentations from PhD/Masters students and Early Career Researchers.
Poster Presentations
Students and Early Career Researchers听are encouraged to submit poster presentations on their latest mental health related research.
Conference attendees will be able to view posters during the conference and selected听submissions will be eligible for the IoMH and Audience Choice听Poster Presentation Awards.听Posters will be displayed in rooms B05 and B15听(opposite听the lecture theatre).听Please note, we will only have capacity to show 30 posters at the conference.
Successful poster submissions will get a free ticket to the conference.听
Content requirements
The submission should be a printed poster that conveys the information about the purpose, methods, results and conclusions of the research. All submissions should be focused on the science, instructive and non-promotional.听Creativity is encouraged.
- Recommended size is A0.
- Please hang your poster at 9.00am on the day of the conference.
- All poster boards will be organised by听poster IDs. Please make sure you hang your poster in the correct place.
- You will then have an opportunity to discuss your poster with delegates during 13:00 to 14:30, Wednesday 18th听September 2024.听
- If you would like to create a 5min accompanying video to support your poster, the IoMH will display these on our Youtube channel and share with delegates. You can find previous poster videos at 听补苍诲 .
It is expected that the presenter will have obtained permission from all authors prior to submitting.
Submission process
Please submit a digital version of your poster听along with a covering email detailing the presentation title, abstract and your full name, job title, confirmation of your early career status, your UK university听affiliation and contact information.
We ask that applications are sent via email to听iomh.info@ucl.ac.uk听no later than 09:00听on 19听August 2024,听from which听the strongest 30 will be selected.听
A member of the team will then be in touch with you to let you know if your submission has been successful. The team reserves the right to select the most appropriate research posters for virtual display.听
Poster awards听
The winner of each award will receive an e-voucher to the value of听拢200.听Winners will be announced during听the conference in a听prize-giving ceremony at 3.50pm.听
Mental Health Research UK audience choice听mental health science prize
A prize will be awarded to the poster which wins the popular vote of the conference attendees made on the day of the meeting 鈥� details of which will be announced prior to the meeting.听
Mental Health Research UK is the only research charity that exclusively supports UK-based research into mental illnesses, their causes and cures. 听We focus much of our efforts on capacity building and in particular on funding PhD scholarships. We invest in promising young scientists in research environments that are at the forefront of efforts to find ways of preventing and treating mental ill-health and increasing mental wellbeing. We are run entirely by volunteers and have negligible overheads. Over 95% of all donations go towards research.
As you will see from , we have awarded 27 Scholarships so far, a total investment of 拢2.4 million.

The IoMH team will select their favourite presentation based on scientific merit, originality and communication skill.听
