Clare Elwell reports in the Financial Times: wearable scanners set to transform study of brain work

15 August 2018

Professor Clare Elwell, in her first week of a British Science Association Media Fellowship at the Financial Times, has co-authored a report on a new wearable brain scanner, developed by physicists and engineers at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº with colleagues at the University of Nottingham.

The scanner uses sensors which are the size and weight of Lego bricks, enabling them to be incorporated into a bicycle helmet. Its potential applications range from investigation dementia to Parkinson's and future models will be adapted for use in babies.
