Dr. Bradley Treeby wins 2017 R. Bruce Lindsay Award

The R. Bruce Lindsay Award is presented annually to a young researcher, in recognition of their contribution to theoretical or applied acoustics. This year's recipient is Dr. Bradley Treeby: member of the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering department.

Dr. Treeby's research "sits at the interface between physical acoustics, biomedical ultrasound, numerical methods, and high performance computing". His significant contributions have earned him an outstanding reputation within the ultrasound modeling community.

Dr. Treeby received the award at the 'Acoustics '17: Joint Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America and European Acoustic Assoication'. Of ASA and the award, Dr. Treeby said:

"The ASA is very unique in being such an open and inclusive society. From my first ASA meeting in 2012, the support I have received from the community has been very humbling, and I'm very honoured to receive this award".
