Configuring MEDIALecture on a Mac
How to configure the Application
Click on听Settings, you will then see the Settings options, follow the instructions below to configure MEDIALecture to give the best possible result.
Local File Storage Location
This is the path to where the recordings will be saved.
Select a Webcam
If you have more than one webcam connected to your PC, then you听can make a choice from听the drop-down list. If you only have the computers听built-in webcam this will be displayed as the default device.
File Select a Microphone
If you have a microphone attached to your computer then听you can use the drop-down list听to select the audio input device you would like to use, if no external device is available then听MEDIALecture will听use your computer's听built-in device for voice input.
Camera Recording Quality
Here you can also choose听the quality of听video capture you require. We recommend using 720p听if your webcam is capable.
Please听note听that clicking More will expose additional听quality options, however it is not recommended to use these due to the way the encoding process has been optimised for compatibility in听MEDIALecture and Mediacentral.
Screen Recording Quality
The Mediacentral team recommend that for the best quality you should choose听1080p as this gives you the best quality screen听recording, this is especially important if you are capturing a PowerPoint (or similar) presentation.
Media Upload
This option is recommended if you have limited disk space on your computer,听by checking听the box your听recordings saved to听your computer will be deleted only after they have been uploaded to Mediacentral.
Save Settings
Once all the desired changes听have been made click on听SAVE听to commit them.
