Gardner Collection (1919-1933)
Monica Gardner was an English writer on Poland and Polish literature. Her
main focus was on romantic poetry but she also wrote two historical
biographies. In addition to writing books and articles (she was a
longtime contributor to "The Slavonic Review"), Monica Gardner was a
translator and editor. She was killed in an air raid in London in 1941.
