Senate House Hub study space to close

Senate House Hub will no longer be available to ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students and staff from 24 May.

Following a review of leased spaces, outlined in the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Estates Strategy 2022-27, Senate House Hub will close on Friday 24 May 2024.Ìý

The Hub, which provides study spaces on the 3rd Floor of the South Block of Senate House, is currently open to ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº postgraduate research students and staff.Ìý

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Estates Strategy is a key component of the Strategic Plan 2022-27, and sets out to enable greater investment in ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s owned spaces by tackling low space utilization, and reducing reliance on high-cost leases such as Senate House.Ìý

The Hub’s opening hours will remain unchanged until the closure, with access available 09:00-21:00 Monday-Friday and 09:45-17:30 Saturday.Ìý

From Friday 24 May onwards, postgraduate research students are encouraged to use the other study spaces at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, including the Graduate Hub, Research Grid in the Science Library, and Science Library Postgraduate Cluster Room, all of which are dedicated graduate spaces.Ìý

All other learning spaces are also available to postgraduate students.Ìý

Additional temporary study space, open to all students, will be available from 08 April to 24 May 2024, 10:00-21:00 Monday-Friday at 1-19 Torrington Place.
