Local newspaper publisher, proprietor of the 'Salisbury Journal' and father of William Collins of New Sarum (q.v.). His will showed him as the owner of an annuity of 拢67 10s secured on the estates [and enslaved people] of John Missett of Montserrat for the life of his daughter Jane Staunton, which he originally left to her and then revoked in one of a series of codicils.
