Biography

George Codrington contributed 拢4 15s to the University of Pennsylvania following Dr John Morgan's fundraising tour of the West Indies in 1772-1773.

George Codrington of St Thomas-in-the-East, planter. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1782. Slave-ownership at probate: 22 of whom 12 were listed as male and 10 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: 拢1670 Jamaican currency of which 拢1625 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included 拢0 currency cash, 拢0 currency debts and 拢0 currency plate.
