Resident slave-owner in Jamaica, dead by 1765. His widow Frances nee Harris married Fortunatus Dwarris II (1723-1790), the great uncle of Sir Fortunatus Dwarris (q.v.)

2. John Dunston was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 300 acres of land in St Catherine and 65 acres of land in St Andrew, total 365 acres.

3. John Dunston of Kingston, Esquire. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1765. Slave-ownership at probate: 218 of whom 114 were listed as male and 104 as female. 73 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £14,726.38 Jamaican currency of which £10,582.5 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £305.7 currency debts and £480.81 currency plate.
