Will of Daniel Gully of Jamaica proved 20/11/1824. In the will, made in 1823, he left 拢1000 each to his eldest son John and his eldest daughter Mary E. Gully, and 拢2000 each to his younger children Eliza, James Manby, Ann, Daniel Phillip, Sarah and Ellin [sic]. After an annuity of 拢250 p.a. to his wife Sarah, he left his residuary estate to the 'six younger branches' of his family: he gave no explanation for his preference for his younger children.
