Biography

Son and co-heir of John Julius (q.v.).

  1. Will of John Julius of [the island of St Christopher but at present residing in] Holles Street Cavendish Square proved 29/11/1815. Under the will he left a series of monetary legacies and annuities all secured on his estates and enslaved people in St Kitts: 拢100 and an annuity of 拢100 p.a. to his mother on top of the 拢400 p.a. left to her by his father; 拢500 and an annuity of 拢200 p.a. to his sister Ann Mary Wharton Estridge; 拢500 at 21 and 拢100 p.a. during his minority to his nephew John Estridge; 拢500 each to his niece and nephew Mary and Aretas Estridge; 拢2000 to his nephew the Rev. John Julius Estridge; 拢1000 to his secretary Patrick Kelly; 拢400 to 'my friend' Elizabeth Fauntleroy and 拢100 to her daughter. He let his estates and the enslaved people themselves to his sister Elizabeth Mary Kerie for life, then to her husband Jedediah Kerie and then to their sons Rev. John Julius Kerie and Jedediah Kerie junior.
